UPC among the best 150 universities in Latin America according to QS Latam
Lima, November 2020. The growth and development of Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC) is reflected in its achievements each year, steadily improving its positioning in different academic rankings.
Recently, the Latin American QS Ranking announced their results for the 2021 period, in which the UPC shows an important rise, climbing 15 places to the 146th position. During the past five years, the institution has maintained an upward trend among Latin American universities, according to Quacquarelli Symonds, an international rating agency.
This international ranking evaluates the following indicators: academic reputation, employer survey, faculty-to-student ratio, research with international collaboration, number of papers published, citation of scientific production, and impact on the web.
The only university with four stars in the QS Stars Rating
Since 2018, UPC has been the first and only Peruvian university to obtain four stars in the prestigious international QS Stars University Ratings. This score marks a milestone and is a valuable contribution to the enhancement of the quality of the Peruvian educational system. In addition, the teaching, employability, social responsibility, and inclusiveness areas were conferred 5 stars, the highest score in the ranking.
These results reaffirm the UPC’s commitment to continuously improving and guaranteeing quality education and the training of professionals with a global vision.
